MESSAGES FOR THE PARENTS OF THE CHILDREN'S THEATER STUDENTS:
The Children's Theater students may be picked up AT MEMORIAL HALL tonight after practice instead of at the school.
PLEASE HELP set up chairs at 7:30 tonight at Memorial Hall for tomorrow's performances.
There will be flowers for purchase for the child actors tomorrow at the hall as well.
FFA Judging @ Bowman
Our FFA Agronomy, Ag Sales, Livestock Judging teams have had a great couple of events. At DSU the Ag Sales and Agronomy Teams both earned first place, and the Livestock individuals both placed in the top 10! In Bowman the Agronomy Team placed 2nd and the Sales Team earned 3rd place. The Livestock students both placed in the top 10.
Johnny Appleseed Play practice will be held at the Memorial Hall on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:15 until 8:00 PM. Appleseeds and tree will go from 3:15 until 5:00 PM. Friday's practice will be the same times at the school.
The Girls Regional Tournament game tonight at Trinity will start at 6:00 PM. Gate prices are set by the North Dakota High School Activity Association. Adult prices are $10 and student prices are $5.
The bus for the University of Mary Track Clinic will leave New England at 6:45 AM on Sunday, February 20th.

5-12 students are welcome to bring money for Kindness quote cards, that will be sold during lunchtime. Small Kindness cards will be sold in a set of 4 for $1.00. Big kindness cards will be sold in a set of 2 for a $1.00. Money raised will be donated to a local charity.
Thursday, February 17th Johnny Apple Seed pictures for the newspaper will be taken at 3:00 PM.
Apple Seeds: black pants, plain white T-shirt, black or dark shoes and socks.
Kiddos: 2 piece pant pajamas. No characters! Socks.
Pioneers: Colorful handkerchief for head, shoes (saddle shoes, keds, Mary Janes, flats, lace boots, cowboy boots.
Rupert and Prescott: white shirt, black pants, jacket.
Johnny: overalls, flannel shirt (long sleeve).
Grandma: old long dress, shawl.
Wolf and Bison: Dark socks and shoes.
Characters: Sara, Molly, Kelly, and Rebecca need a plain dress.
Johnny Apple Seed Cast
New England Public School is looking for a Teacher Aide and a Playground Supervisor. The teacher aide will work as an assistant to, and under the supervision of, a certified teacher(s) who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students. The Teacher Aide is responsible to the principal through the teacher.
As a Playground Supervisor you will be working with a team of people to ensure the safety of the children and promote their well-being at all times. The supervisor will be responsible for the children’s health, safety and happiness during morning and lunchtime play sessions.
Parent's Night, for the Boys Basketball team is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22nd against Standing Rock. Parents need to be in the stands at 6:00 PM to be introduced in between games.
Monday’s girls basketball game against Killdeer will be Parents’ Night. Parents and players will be introduced between the JV game and the varsity game. The JV game is at 5:00 PM, and varsity is at 6:30 PM. Parents can bring any food item as there will be a potluck following the varsity game in the commons area for players, coaches, and their families.
The New England Booster Club Raffle Winner for February 11th is Cindy Hanson - New England - $100!!!! Way to go, Cindy!!
The girls basketball "Future Tigers" Night, is scheduled for Thursday, February 10th . There has been a time change. The first game will start at 5:00 PM. The little girls (Future Tigers grades K-4) need to be at school at 5:30 PH to line up and get ready for the festivities. Go Tigers!
The start time for the girls basketball game scheduled for Thursday, February 10th against Beulah has been changed to 5:00 PM MST.
The children in grades 2-6 who are participating in the play will be walking down to Memorial Hall with Mrs. Kathrein and Mrs. Belland right after school. Auditions will be done by 5:00 PM. Please be prompt in picking up your child. Scripts might be handed out tonight. Rehearsals start February 22 right after school.

LAST CALL for students in Grades 2 - 6 who are interested in acting in Johnny Appleseed. The New England Booster Club is sponsoring a children's theater beginning Monday with auditions and concluding this upcoming Saturday with two performances. Permission slips were due February 11; however, there would still be time to turn forms in on Monday. The forms were sent home and emailed twice. Join the fun!!!
