
REMINDER
Homecoming week – October 1st – 6th
• Sunday – October 1st
o Students will decorate their designated hallway from 12 noon – 5 pm. The class advisor needs to be present or a parent can help chaperone the students that are decorating.
• Monday – October 2nd
o Students will report to period 1 for attendance and pledge. Then students will be released for royalty coronation during period 1.
o Normal periods 2 – 6 (except seniors period 2)
Seniors will do their parking spots during period 2 out in the parking lot.
o Pep rally during period 7 to get excited for the week. Seniors will play a couple games with the classes. Advisors will get their rubric for most spirited class for homecoming 2023.
o Dress up theme for the day: Duo/Rhyme w/o reason/PJs
• Tuesday – October 3rd
o Normal schedule.
o Dress up theme for the day: Seniors pick this day
• Wednesday – October 4th
o Normal schedule.
o Today’s dress is color theme and we will take photos of seniors/Kindergarten, juniors/1st grade, etc. The pictures for 6th and preschool needs to be in the morning and afternoon since there are 2 preschool classes.
o Dress up theme for the day: Class colors
• Thursday – October 5th
o This is a normal day as well. We will take pictures of the students and their hallways throughout the day.
o Teachers will use a Microsoft Form for the hallway themes to vote for the class that got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

• Friday – October 6th
o THIS DAY IS PACKED – GET READY
o Morning is normal as well as lunch. We will have a pep rally during periods 5/6 – 7.
This pep rally would entail games for the classes, school song, couple cheers for each class, and then we would have captains come to the floor to talk about their sport (football, volleyball, cross-country).
Grades 7-12 would be at the pep rally for all of it.
Grades PreK-6 would come at period 7.
After school, students will decorate for the dance. This will be student council, seniors, and any other students that would like to help.
AT THE GAME:
• At the beginning of the game, it is parent’s night. We will start with the parents and students first. Then, we will segway into homecoming royalty.
• Kickoff starts at 6 pm and the game should go until 8-9 pm.
• Students would transition to the dance until 12 midnight.
o Chaperones – Ashly and Taylor (husband), Casey, Jaden, Kyra, Sandy
• Saturday – October 7th
o Any student council members and seniors that want to clean up would report to the school by 11 am and clean up until everything gets done.

NEPS is having a flu shot clinic for students and staff on Thursday, October 5th starting at 9:00 a.m. Please fill out the first page and the first 4 questions on the second page and get them turned in to Mrs. Rebecca by Thursday to partcipate. Forms are going home with PreK-6th grade. They are also at the office for pick up. You can print them from this link too. https://5il.co/260kb

There are 2 home games tonight. 7/8 Volleyball is in the new gym at 4:00 and 5/6 Girls Basketball is in the old gym, also at 4:00. Let's GO Tigers!

Friendly reminder...
1. The book fair is happening now!! Students can purchase books before school or during conferences.
2. Tomorrow is Fall picture day. Look cute!!
3. Tomorrow is parent/teacher conference day. It will take place from 3:30-8:00.
4. Annual Title 1 Parent Meeting is tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Title 1 classroom.
4. Homecoming is next week. Dress up days have been posted on Facebook. Parents will receive more detailed information today. Be on the lookout!!

Today's game in Dickinson is only for 5th and 6th grade and starts at 4:30. 6th grade will play first.

The JHFB game starts at 5:30pm tonight and the JVFB game follows after at approximately 6:30pm

Orders for homecoming shirts are due Tuesday. Students or parents can pick one up in the front office! The shirts will be handed out Oct.2-3 just in time to wear for New England's Homecoming HC Huskies football game on Friday Oct.6!



The New England FFA competed in the state range judging competition today in Mandan. Overall the team earned a silver award, and Bailey earned 2nd place high individual overall! Congratulations to all on a job well done!



Happy Friday Eve everyone! In an effort to raise money for staff appreciation and student events we are allowing the students to pay $1 to wear a hat on Fridays. Pay your money to Mrs. Rebecca at the front desk and she will put you down for being able to wear your hat for the day.

456 football: Please send hoodies or long sleeves to wear under jerseys to keep warm tonight!!! Bus will leave at 3:30 from New England! I forgot about the little bit of construction going on and we want to have enough time! Go Huskies!

9/22 Homecoming Dance at Mott for 9-12 grade. Sign up sheet and permission form are located at the office, must be turned in by Thursday, 9/21, in order to attend.

The junior class is going to have a bake sale today during first, second and fourth periods. Be sure to bring your appetites and money to help support them.

I apologize for the short notice, this all finally came together Friday last week and I've been out of town until this afternoon.

The 7/8 Volleyball game on Thursday, 9/14 vs. Heart River & Trinity has been cancelled.

Bus 17 is running about 15 minutes later than normal!

YUM Froyo & More will now be at our tailgate party 4:5:30. The price for the BBQ does NOT include the ice cream, that is a seperate charge. They will be staying for the game as well! Let's GO HUSKIES!


In honor of 9-11, we are showing our American Pride on Monday by wearing red, white & blue. The class with the most participation gets a popcorn party! Patriotic hats will be allowed. Have a great weekend!

Today the FFA range Judging teams traveled to Watford City for the Island Empire Range Judging event. Overall the senior team earned a fourth place finish and the junior team earned a seventh place finish. Congratulations to all on a successful day!
